This book draws on the experiences of the Sainsbury Centre in delivering training and practice development to intensive home treatment teams over five years .It will be of interest to all those involved in the delivery of mental health services; in particular, those wanting to develop home treatment teams, but also those involved in the planning and modernisation of future mental health services. It cover a wide area including the role of values in a crisis; risk management; the social systems approach; facilitating early discharge from hospital; and, lastly, the process of crisis resolution using a case study.
